Great value place, welcoming staff from reception to management. Large and fine rooms with central heating, a work desk, and television. Marvellous location and excellent facilities. A pleasant restaurant in the hotel.

I had a great stay at this hotel on the outskirts of the city. The location was peaceful and quiet, with plenty of parking available. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious with a good selection of food for everyone, even those with dietary restrictions. The outside area was a nice touch, with comfortable chairs and a pleasant atmosphere.
All was good.

It was a very quiet location, I suggest it would appeal to older couples. It was outside of town and was very clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. They're english wasn't great but they were patient with us. Actually the staff were lovely. Very comfortable. Rooms very reasonable in price and we enjoyed our stay. Would stay again for a night or two.
The food wasn't to our taste and don't get the seafood platter if you don't like oysters or welks. The steak we asked for was rare even though we requested well done, but that was our taste as much as anyhing. The food was expensive and the only major drawback was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. If they even put in a vending machine in the lobby it would help. No major complaints. The wifi worked but wasn't great.

This hotel is situated within walking distance of the city center. the hotel staff is very welcoming and the facilities are in good condition. You must visit the hotel restaurant. the French cuisine and fresh seafood is outstanding and highly recommended. Rooms are spacious and clean, with a window that opens. You can also enjoy a pleasant garden or fish pond view.
One downside of this hotel is that the windows are small, causing rooms to be quite dark.

Cositel is a very good place to stay on route from Cherbourg for your onward travels the following day.It is about an hours drive form the port. The rooms are excellent and the hotel has a very reasonable restaurant. The town of Coutances is also very pleasant - a 5 minute drive from hotel.

I travel a lot and, in France, usually opt for chain type hotels (E.G. Campanile, Ibis) as one knows what to expect. I did not expect much from this hotel to be honest but I was absolutely bowled over by the layout (exceptionally attractive grounds, lovely bar), location (a few minutes from town centre) and superb staff (always friendly, polite and helpful). I actually felt a bit guilty at the amazing standard I received for so little money. Compared to other stays in France (for which I spent a lot more money), this was the standout best value coupled with most pleasant experience. The staff were in particular extremely friendly and helpful.
I stayed on a Sat night so maybe this was non-typical but I felt the hotel was under-staffed with people running between the front desk, bar and restaurant. Nonetheless, the staff that were there were without exception superb.

Really nice hotel, calm and cozy with a nice terrace in the back. Good breakfast, even better dinner. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good location to visit the area. The hotel is withing walking distance from the center of the town (Coutances) where you have the cathedral and a nice garden/park, and by car it takes about 1h to get to Mont-Saint- Michel, Saint-Malo or the landing beaches (Omaha, Utah etc).

We asked for a room with a view, and we got exactly that! The hotel generally was quiet, which suited us perfectly.
Don't expect too much from breakfast. The restaurant is good, but on the expensive side.
